AGES

At the time of Camp Electric, students must be between the ages of 13 and 19 in order to attend. Camp Electric also provides internships (20 - 25) and chaperone (26 - up) positions.

Camp Electric is held in Murfreesboro, TN the backdrop of Music City, Nashville, TN. (MTSU) Middle Tennessee State University hosts Camp Electric, providing a beautiful setting for this summer camp.

The cost includes everything the student needs for the week: lodging, meals, curriculum, concert entry, and more. Travel is not included in the camp price.

We offer low monthly payment plans. If you select the payment plan option, a $199 deposit is due at registration, and the remaining balance is divided into monthly payments.

Payments are taken on the 15th of the month unless otherwise requested by phone or email. The cost and monthly payment amount change based on the date of registration. All payment plans go through May 15th. You may make additional payments or pay off your balance anytime by logging into your account or calling the CE office. A $40 processing fee is divided and added into monthly payments.

REGISTRATION

To register a student, an account registration will first have to be made.

When you click on the registration tab, you will be brought to a screen where you enter the information. Then, an email will be sent to verify the email address. From there, you will register your student. You can also access your account after that point by logging in using your username and password.

GEAR
& CASES

Guitarists: (Electric, Acoustic, & Bass) Please bring their instruments in a sturdy case.

Drummers: Please bring a practice pad and extra sticks. Each student is responsible for their belongings. Camp Electric or the school where the camp is held will not replace any personal instrument lost, stolen, or damaged.

We suggest you DO NOT bring your family heirloom.

MULTIPLE
TRACKS

Can a student pick multiple tracks/classes? No, each student must choose one instrument/media class to focus on for the week of Camp Electric.

Example: If you or your student picks the "Acoustic Guitar" track at the time of registration, they will need to attend the "Acoustic Guitar" classes and will not be allowed to attend other tracks. However, we do offer several Free-Time options that any track is allowed to participate in. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact our office. 800-755-0242

SKILL LEVEL

Because different people will develop at various speeds, time does not always dictate level. We ask the students and parents to evaluate where they feel most comfortable.

Experience levels are beginner, intermediate, or advanced. When deciding which skill level, we ask that you consider how long your student has been playing, the type of lessons or training they've had, their experience with performing in public, and how well they perform surrounded by other students.

Skill levels cannot be changed after April 1st, and students cannot change skill levels once at camp. There is no exception to this rule.

CHANGING TRACKS

If you decide to change your instrument choice prior to camp, you must notify the Camp Electric staff no later than April 1st. There is a fee associated with changing instruments. Absolutely no changes can be made after April 1st.

Please verify that your instrument selection is correct on your registration confirmation.

Parents, please verify with your students exactly which instrument they want to participate in. No exceptions will be made to excuse the fee that will apply. Once at camp, there is a $199 fee to change tracks if a student brings the wrong instrument.

WRONG TRACK

If a student brings the wrong instrument to camp, they will be charged a fee of $199 to change tracks, which must be paid in full immediately if they want to continue to the different track.

For example, if a student shows up to camp with an acoustic guitar but their parent or guardian signed them up for an electric guitar, they will have to pay the fee of $199 to change their track for the week.

We want to stress the importance of going over your registration information multiple times to check for accuracy.

RATIOS

We call instruction time, classes and clinics. During clinics, students are divided by instrument, and one or two instructors lead the large clinic groups. These clinics might involve break-out sessions.

During classes, there is one instructor for a classroom size of students. The size will vary on the instrument/subject. This is where the students get hands-on instruction from our artists.

FLIGHTS

If your student is flying into Nashville and needs the CE Shuttle, please make sure you have selected airport travel on your registration. To receive shuttle transportation, ALL flights must arrive BEFORE 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 29th, and take off AFTER 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 3rd.

If you do not arrive within this time frame, you must get an Uber or taxi from the airport to MTSU. Some airlines require students under age to be escorted by a guardian; please ensure your student DOES NOT travel on these airlines. Camp Electric WILL NOT be held responsible as an airline guardian. Please do not fly on standby.

ARRIVAL DAY

Ground Transportation through Camp Electric IS MANDATORY if your student arrives and departs from the Nashville airport. (BNA) ALL STUDENTS flying into Nashville must wear the official "Fly Shirt." This will be sent before the week of camp.

Registration is from 12 pm - 3 pm (CST) on Sunday. Please refer to the student letter for all detailed information.

AIRPORT

Camp Electric is held just outside the heart of Nashville, TN. The Nashville International Airport is located 40 minutes from MTSU.

DEPARTURE DAY

All students will be dismissed on Thursday at 10 am after the final All-Camp worship service. Parents are encouraged to attend this last event with their students.

Parents picking up their students must pick up all medication and luggage immediately following the last service. All students flying must board the charter buses headed to the airport.

Please Note: Camp Electric strictly enforces a no-car policy. During the week of camp, all camp locations will provide free parking for all students attending.

BUS TRANSFER

Ground transportation will only be provided for your students if they fly between our flight time guidelines. If you do not arrive within this time frame, you must get an Uber or taxi from the airport to Middle Tennessee State University.

The last day to cancel airport transportation and receive a full refund is May 1st.

For Camp Electric to provide transportation, your flight must arrive sometime before 2:00 p.m. on the first day of camp to ensure your student arrives on campus in time for the day's activities.

If your student arrives after 3:00 p.m. on the first day, Camp Electric WILL NOT be able to assist with transportation services.

For your return flight, flights must be scheduled after 2 p.m. on the last day of camp.

ON CAMPUS

Once you arrive at Camp Electric, ALL campers, interns, and chaperones will need to STAY ON CAMPUS at all times throughout the week.

You are not permitted to leave alone, as a group, or with a parent. If you do choose to leave, you will not be permitted to return. For the safety and security of each student, there are no exceptions to this rule.

PAYMENT
OPTIONS

You can pay by credit card (Visa, MC, American Express, and Discover) online at our registration page.

If a partial payment is made with a credit card, that same credit will automatically be debited for subsequent payments unless prior arrangements have been made. Send payment by check to Camp Electric, 8289 Cordova Rd. STE 104, Cordova, TN 38106.

You must print out the online registration form and send it with your check ten days before your chosen billing period. Please print your phone number and your student’s name on your check.

We will also need a charge card on file, even if checks are being used. Payments made by check must be received on time, or your student’s registration will be canceled.

REGISTRATION
FEES

The registration fee includes all instruction, Bible studies, concerts, electives, workshops, recreation, and supplies. It also covers all housing and meals during the camp. Please Note: Meal locations like Chick-fil-A are additional and not covered by registration fees.

DEPOSITS
& FINAL BALANCE

The non-refundable deposit is due at the time you register.

Your selections determine your final balance, which is due in full either when you register or on the final date of your selected payment plan.

When you register, you agree that the first $199 paid is considered a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit; this will also include the $40 booking fee.

AIRFARE COSTS

Airfare is to be purchased by each individual and is NOT coordinated by Camp Electric.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Camp Electric strongly recommends that all students, chaperones, and interns purchase travel insurance. Everyone is aware that things and schedules can change, and we want to help ensure that you are covered if anything unforeseen happens and you cannot attend.

Common travel problems like flight delays, travel injuries and illnesses, unpredictable weather, and lost or stolen luggage are why today’s smart travelers travel with a Travel Guard travel insurance plan. To learn about coverage options, please click HERE.

GENERAL
CANCELLATION

Cancellations requested before March 1, 2025, will be given a refund of any payment minus the deposit or initial payment and the administrative fee.

Between March 1 and March 31, 2025, all persons requesting cancellations will receive 50% of their payments back as a refund, excluding the non-refundable, non-transferable registration deposit of $199.

Between April 1 and April 29, 2025, all persons requesting cancellation will receive 25% of their payments back, excluding the non-refundable, non-transferrable registration deposit of $199.

Beginning April 30, 2025, no refunds will be given for cancellations. No refunds will be issued before camp. All refunds will be issued after the final session of camp has ended.

$199 is considered the non-refundable, non-transferable deposit for each student registered, regardless of the amount paid at the time of registration. Please Note: The booking fee of $40 is also non-refundable. By submitting your student's registration, you agree to this term.

WEATHER
CANCELLATION

Camp Electric hosts events with your safety in mind. If we cannot host an event due to weather conditions, deposits cannot be refunded.

Final balance payments will be refunded only if properties and/or locations refund Camp Electric for these costs. If an event is hosted as scheduled and you or your group cancels or reduces numbers due to weather conditions, all payments are non-refundable.

NATIONAL
DISASTER

We will always follow through with hosting planned events. However, in these uncertain times post-9/11, a national disaster or act of terror could render us unable to host a planned event and return your deposits.

Based on your reservations, we hire staff, purchase equipment, and rent non-refundable facilities.

Please be advised that if a Camp Electric event is canceled due to extraordinary circumstances, we cannot refund your deposits, regardless of other published cancellation dates and deadlines.

GENERAL LODGING INFO.

Camp Electric provides dorm housing on the university campus. The designated campus housing for Camp Electric is Corlew Hall and Cummings Hall.

Rooms are set up as two students per room. Bathrooms are located on each floor and shared by the floor residents.

ROOMMATE
REQUESTS

When you register on the form, please let us know your roommate requests. Please only ask if someone you know has or will be registering for the same Camp Electric session you have registered for.

You can list multiple requests, but please address them in order of priority. We will do our best to accommodate, but we never promise that all requests can be fulfilled. See the lodging question for information on room setup.

No roommate requests can be made or changed after April 1st.

DIETARY NEEDS

Dietary needs such as gluten-free, dairy, and vegetarian options are available if requested.

OPTIONS

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are provided at the cost of the camp.

The first meal provided will be dinner on Sunday's first day of camp.

McCallie Dining Hall is an all-you-care-to-eat dining hall located in the KUC. The menu changes daily, so students love eating here! Options include Delicious Destinations, Southern Kitchen, Sear & Sizzle, Greens & Grains, a Breakfast Bar, and a Coffee Bar. We have vegan and vegetarian options! At McCallie, there's something for everyone!

The Middle at Corlew is home to Subway, Chick-fil-A, Twisted Taco, Corlew POD Market, and, new this fall, Slim & Husky's Pizza, which features handmade artisan pizzas, wings, and cinnamon rolls.

Options may vary during summer sessions. Fast food outside the dining hall is an additional charge not included in the registration price.

GENERAL
FAQS

AGE - We require that all chaperones be at least 24 years old. If you are under 25 but too old to be a camper, please see the "interns" page.

PARENTS - The majority of our chaperones are parents. However, parents and guardians are subject to the same safety and security procedures as the rest of the staff and volunteers. To inquire about being a chaperone, please email info@campelectric.com or sign up by filling out the chaperone application.

COST - The cost of being a chaperone covers all meals, lodging, and any materials chaperones receive at camp. Also, lodging is provided on Saturday night for chaperones and any campers they bring, so this cost also helps cover that night of lodging.

The chaperone fee is $390.

The intern fee is $390.

THE ROLE OF
A CHAPERONE

We consider being a chaperone a privilege as well as a responsibility. We hope that each chaperone will be there for the benefit of all the students, not for their own benefit. Chaperones are responsible for the students at all times.

We request that chaperones refrain from leaving the campus for any reason other than accompanying their group to hotel housing (if applicable). Chaperones are expected to know where each group member is at all times and to check in with them frequently throughout the day, including enforcing “lights out” each night. Chaperones will also be responsible for leading daily devotionals that involve praying with your students. The devotionals are printed and given to chaperones and students in the camp handbook.

Chaperones will also be asked to help out in other ways during the day while students are in instructional time. Our camp is a tobacco-free camp (this includes vaping), and chaperones are expected to abide by this policy as well.

It is a thorough and time-consuming process, as we take the chaperone position very seriously and consider it an honor and a privilege.

APPROVAL

All instructors, chaperones, assistants, and camp workers must complete a full disclosure application. (This includes a personal testimony of their faith.)

They are also personally interviewed before they are invited to join the Camp Electric team, and we call community and church references for each application we receive.

In addition, background checks are run on all of our instructors, chaperones, interns, assistants, and camp workers.

9AM
Morning devotions happen in dorm groups around breakfast, followed by an all-camp worship service. Each morning, students gather in groups for morning devotions to begin their day, followed by an all-camp worship session led by the Worship Band and the Camp Pastor.

10AM
Students are divided by instrument for one-hour sessions. One or two instructors lead the large clinic groups. The clinics cover a variety of topics related to the instrument or class.

2PM
Students will rotate each day, allowing them to receive instruction from several top instructors and learn multiple lessons. There will be one instructor for no more than a classroom of students. This is where the students get hands-on training from our artists and coaches for two hours each day. A variety of subjects will be covered to help students obtain an well-rounded experience.

1PM
Each day Camp Electric students come together for an all-camp session. This session will typically cover topics that range from band dynamics and performance to one-of-a-kind Mentor Q&A sessions lead by top artists and industry & creative leaders.

4PM
Free-time options are one of the students' favorite daily activities at Camp Electric. From guitar battles and drum-offs to Rock with the Band, where students get to take the stage each day with notable artists and instructors. Whether it's just hanging & jamming with friends or learning from college professors, we have something for everyone.

7PM
Each night at Camp Electric, students gather for a front-row experience to enjoy concerts by some of the industry's top and up-and-coming Christian artists. Many of these artists are the very instructors teaching the students.
